I need to make a change

Do you ever feel stuck or like could be going better but you do not know where to begin? Our Women’s Empowerment Coaching focuses on boundaries in relationships. Do you have them and where do you need them? Let’s learn to identify what you need out of others and ask for it effectively. This is your chance to explore what works and what doesn’t and experiment with what you would like to try instead.

My hope is that women begin to feel less guilt and more agency. I hope you can apologize less and ask for what you want more.

What happens in therapy sessions?

Our initial meeting, both telehealth and in person, is a casual conversation where you begin to share your unique goals for therapy. Sometimes people aren’t exactly sure why they are seeking help and this is OK too! This is your time to be seen and heard, to feel genuinely listened to and understood without judgment. In our next sessions I gather information about your history and background so that I have a full picture of the person you are. We set a plan for our path and so the growth process can begin!

  • Session Length: 50 minutes
  • Format: In-person and telehealth options available

FAQs About Relationship Therapy

What does a life coach do?

Do you have unreached goals? Things that you hoped to accomplish by this phase of
life, whether professional or personal? At times we can just get stuck. Nothing seems to work out as expected and we don’t know what direction to head. We want answers. The good news is the answers lie within and life coaching can help you find them. Together we discover the obstacles that make us afraid, we collaborate for a plan, we set short term and long term goals, and as a life coach, I provide support and accountability. Perhaps I point out ideas you hadn’t thought of or challenge thoughts that aren’t serving you.

Life coaching services also provide:
-help you understand your values
-help you determine who you are and who you want to be
-build positivity, mindfulness and focus

Do I need a coach or a counselor?

Do you need help setting or accomplishing a goal? Do you have personal or professional
decisions to make? Are you struggling with a relationship in your life? Is something just off? A life coach will help you establish goals that are realistic and move you toward progress. It is a place where the possibilities are made clearer. In life coaching, provocative questions may be asked or possible outcomes are explored. Coaches can work alongside therapists to assist clients. Life coaching is not regulated by the state and involvement with the one accredited governing body isn’t required. There is little to no oversight for life coaching although training is encouraged. Life coaching can be available to more people because the criteria needed to life coach are less stringent than for therapists. Therefore there are more people able to provide this service.

Therapists work with individuals dealing with mental health issues such as depression,
anxiety, relational struggles, and trauma. They are trained to reach the source of pain and help the clients move through it with support. They utilize evidence-based modalities to treat clients appropriately and are highly trained. Therapists are licensed by the state, follow a code of conduct, must be in good standing with the law, are regulated by the state, and are required to fulfill continuing education credits to renew their licenses. Therapists also coach when they help a client process the past, leading them to focus on the present, while working towards future goals.
